The Steps to Move your Dog to Hawaii
This is my adventure that I'm having to move my dogs to Hawaii. Now my struggles are going to be different from yours because I lost my job two weeks ago. Although this is going to be hard I'm going to talk to you about my journey.
The first step I had to do was get two vaccinations and microchips done. Now this was simple because they have already had their vaccinations and microchips done. I just needed to get one more for them. The place I went to was the Moreno Valley Animal Clinic. They only charged $10 for each dog which was a reasonable price. Now just so you know these rabies vaccinations have to be more than 30 days apart and not less then 90 days before the pet's arrival to Hawaii, just so they don't expire when the pet arrives then they would be quarantined. So I got their vaccinations done. After I got that done I asked the lady at the clinic how much the blood test was since they have to take a titer test. She told me around $300. I thought that was outrageous since they wouldn't be taking the test the lab in Kansas would be. After hear that I jumped on the phone with my mom and told her what the lady told me. She did some research and she read that they would only charge me $83.00. So I decided for the next week while I'm scrambling to get some money to pay for it I will call around and see who is the cheapest clinic there is to help me get these lab results.
Next adventure is heading into the titer test. Lets see how much this will cost me! I will keep you all updated! If you live in my area do a lot of researches before you give into the costs. There is always a loop hole.

So it's now January 17, 2013 and today has been a very blessing day. First blessing that came to me was that I was calling around every veterinary clinic in my area and near my area for the prices of the rabies blood work. I do not want to pay $300 per dog for blood work that will just be going to Kansas anyways and from there to Hawaii. So I had been getting prices around $200 to $300. Until I called the Perris Animal Hospital. They told me that to take blood from my dogs and to package it, it would be $130 per dog. Which my surprised I was very happy to hear. The more they told me I found out that I would have to bring the packaging to the post office and pay for it to be overnight shipped. Which they told me wouldn't be much. So my price all together will be $300. Not $600. So happy about that! My second blessing today was that I got a job! I got a job at the Cheesecake Factory as a Host. So now I can pay for everything and on top of that still be able to get dog food. I no longer have to worry or struggle. I am truly blessed and so happy. God was with me every step of the way. This process isn't hard at all but it can be stressful. It's not impossible or no one would be able to do it. No need to freak out. Like my mom always says take one step at a time then it's not so overwhelming. Our furry friends mean a lot to us. I don't think it's right to get rid of a dog because you're moving. Take the dog with you if they are apart of your family. My dogs are my children. I maybe 19 years old but I have bonded with them. They are my soul mates. This is the best day that I could possibly have right now. I am very excited to see what God has in store for me in the up coming days! I'll keep you all posted! Bless you all and have an amazing night!

Today is January 20, 2013 and today has been a very busy day. Yesterday, I sold one of my dressers so I can get a few extra dollars to pay for my Boxer's booster shot and other things as well. I got a job a few days ago and I am super stoked! I now work as a Host in the Cheesecake Factory! This is a great opportunity for me! I am truly blessed of what God has been bringing my way. I am now onto selling one of my mattresses and box spring. Hopefully someone will buy something this week. I am onto step 3 in the moving to Hawaii with my dogs process. I am getting ready to pay for two Rabies Blood Tests. I found a animal hospital that will do them for $130 previously stated. Of course I will be paying for over night shipping for both dogs but it will be worth it! I am not sure how long I have till I can do this. But as smart as I am I emailed the Department of Agriculture. Now all I have to do is wait for a response. Which won't be till tomorrow but that's okay. As long as I get my answers I will be happy. I just don't want to make a mistake in this process because that could affect everything. I just have to keep an open mind and positive attitude and good things will come my way. If you are reading this and having to go through the same process as I'm going through, don't get overwhelmed. Take a deep breath and take it step by step. Your veterinarian and the Department of Agriculture will help you. They actually want you to bring your furry friend with you to Hawaii. Well anyways I got my schedule for the Cheesecake Factory I work all night shifts for training. Which is good because it's a busy time. Even though I have to take the bus there and back it will be worth it. I'll just save to get myself a car and I won't have to worry about payments cause I will be buying it off of Craigslist. Of course I will be saving aswell for my dogs to come with me to Hawaii, but at the moment I need some sort of transportation haha. Keep me in your prays and I will be updating you all very soon! Thank you so much for reading my blogs!

So it's been seven days since I wrote and boy a sure lot has happened. I am now at $190 dollars. I only have $156 to go and then I can send everything I need. I decided to send everything on February 6th because it will arrive February 8th. Which on June 6th will be 120 days. So it works perfectly. I am still on time. I just got a boyfriend yesterday. I have been waiting for us to make it official for a few months. I think it will work out cause he understands how important this is for me. And it's just two years of schooling out there. We get along great together and my dogs sure like him. Which is important to me. I found out I don't need to get the health certificate until I get my other stuff together which I'm happy about. So all works out perfectly. The blood work needs to be typed so I need to let the clinic know that. Hopefully they already know what needs to be done. Work has been going great. I love my co workers they don't exclude me from anything and working with my sister is fun. I like how they allow us to work together. Things are coming along great right now. I couldn't be anymore happier. I am truly blessed and now we'll see what the future brings. Hope everyone else is having amazing days like I am. I will write soon. I have to get ready for work now. Bye! :D

It is now February 16th everyone and boy do I have some news for you!! On February 6th I got both of my dogs blood work done and sent it out. So the count down continues!! I am so blessed. I didn't think I could do it. I thought I would have to wait and my dogs would be quarantined. But I got it all done with the help of my Lord. If you can't get the information you need by your veterinarian and the Department of Agriculture isn't getting back to you, do some research I know it can be difficult but you'll get your answers you need a lot quicker. There are so many people online that will help you and tell you the answer you need as well. Don't be afraid to ask or even look. I went to two different vets and called the Department of Agriculture twice a day and still heard nothing. So then I did research and after that I got my results faster. Everything is turning out good. Now the 120 days started and I don't need to get the health certificate till May and I don't need to send the documents till then either. Thank you for everyone who is reading this it means a lot to me. Now I am off to work to the Cheesecake Factory! Everyone have a great day! :D
